Fruitful First Day of Spring

Monday was a great first day of spring! I worked on cutting my Sew Kind of Wonderful, Mod Owls but I didn’t get to finish due to needing to run errands and take care of few things at the retreat house.

First off, the tile guy was there and I talked to him about it not lining up and he said that he would fix it. I am very much a detail person and when I pointed it out, he acted like he hadn’t noticed at all. At any rate, he would make it right and that’s all I needed to hear. He also worked on the shower wall.

I love seeing the progress and watching my building take shape. It kind of reminds me of how a block grows into a quilt. It is fun and sometime one needs to rip out. Ha!

I needed to go over to the retreat house early this morning and of course I had to snoop and see what all had been done yesterday. It was still dark out and I thought I would just use my flashlight, so I trekked upstairs to see the tile and much to my delight, it looked great! Well except for one little tile, which I think he can fix fairly easily! I’m so excited!

one little fix but it looks so much better

I was just looking around in the bathroom and saw a can light installed and as I was visualizing everything and I looked on my wall and there was a switch there that was not there before, so I just had to flip it and oh yeah, I had lights! It is the little things. LOL! I had been fumbling around in the dark for at least 30 minutes! Ugh! Electricity is essential! 😉

After that I walked downstairs to see if there was a switch to flip downstairs! Oh boy, one-step closer to finishing!

and downstairs

Oh and notice my beam, it is wrapped now and it looks so nice!

Well I guess I had better get to work; it is a rodeo day shift again today!

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,
