Conquer

How was your first day of the year? I got to clean up and put away Christmas and put out my 2017 calendar. I love getting able to get out the new calendar and turn the page. I don’t know exactly why I enjoy that so much, but I do. Maybe it is because it represents new beginnings and I do like that, so I will just let that be my subconscious speaking out. Ha!

Have you made your list of projects that you want to complete for 2017? This is another thing I enjoy doing. This year I added “craft” projects to it. I always intend on doing little crafty projects and for some reason I never seem to get them finished, which means I have the stuff gathered for it and the supplies just pile up. Ugh – and you know I hate piles! I hope to do a craft project once a month. Now if you want to play, please join in, it does not have to mean craft or sewing, it can be whatever it means to you.

I started making my 2017 project list the other day and it didn’t take any time at all to come up with 8 things on my list and then I added 4 more projects to complete and there were only 5 “NEW” things listed. That translates to 7 unfinished projects to finish.

Tip: to make your list and hang it in front of you and your word to help you accomplish your goals.

My word for 2017 is “CONQUER”, I need to conquer them and finish, along with some fears of mine! For some reason I get stuck in my mind and therefore it carries over to what I’m working on. For example, on my Primitive Gatherings, My Crazy Life, there are 2 blocks from the very first week that I have been stuck on. This evening I was talking to myself and telling myself to “conquer the kiss”. Really, it isn’t that hard, why am I hung up on that?

Back to my Primitive Gatherings, My Crazy Life, I did get week 11 and 12 ready, week 10 is finished. Well, I need to get to work on my “kiss” block.

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,
Ronda

Happy New Year Ronda. Your words in the post are truly inspiring! Thank you for that, I needed it. After my daughter gets married this Saturday January 7 & company is gone , I’m getting in my sewing room and tackling my piles & making my list.
