Location is Key

Have you ever heard the phrase “location, location, location”? Last night I thought I would just breeze through my “rowing” and put the first 4 rows together. The idea of getting it together in sections seemed appealing at the time, so off I get and SEW! After I attached the first two rows together I’m looking at what I did and oh my word! I had gotten off somehow on the first row, and it was a mess!

When you get every other block wrong, this translates to having to take the entire row apart except for the first 5 blocks – that equals 10 blocks to fix. It is a good thing that the churn dash blocks are the same no matter which side you use! ARRRG! On a positive spin, at least I got the other 3 rows right.

Ok, I’m finally back on track!

This morning I drove over to the house to see if the forms were up at the house so I could see if I was clear with my words to describe what I wanted to the workers. When I got there – no one was there, but that was ok, the forms were and that was what I was interested in. I think it is going to work out very nicely! No more “monster” step. Wahoo!

As I was looking around the house I always look at the landscaping. I’ve been watching the azaleas bushes and the bottlebrush tree; today they were just glowing, so I thought I would share.

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. David is a wonderful man and husband and has the patience of Job, he puts up with me and tolerates my wild whims and is very giving, loving and kind. Luckily, he loves to be needed and it is a good thing, because I seem to have an endless supply of “ideas”. Thank you, David for being the wonderful person that you are!

We went to Carrabba’s for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, oh how I love that place. It was very good! On the way home we were discussing the concrete forms and decided to do a drive by. Just as we were pulling up, the concrete guys were pulling out. They had poured the concrete! Oh boy! We got out and did a survey. It looks so much better.

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,

  1. I have made that kind of mistake! Or even caught it before assembly, but taking it apart and putting it back together — the exact same wrong way! Usually that’s a good sign I need a break. 🙂

    Happy Anniversary!
