Some Finishes

Are you planning or thinking about what you want to accomplish in 2015 yet? Or have you been thinking about what all happened in 2014? I do like to reflect on things that happened, some good, some bad and the loved ones that aren’t with us any longer. I do hope that you have a wonderful and safe New Year.

I was able to drive over to the retreat house today and they had a finish in the new bathroom upstairs. They finally got the correct plumbing hardware to install in the new shower. For some reason the plumbing company had a hard time getting us the correct parts – but I think all is good now! Wahoo! We also got an ok from the city to call the gas company to get that connected so that we will have hot water! I do love the little steps forward! Hopefully all these will be done soon!

I worked on my Primitive Gatherings, Sunflower Gatherings block #4 and I was able to get it all finished except for the “overflow” stitching section that goes into the next row.

I also got to finish my Red Crinoline quilt pattern, Star of the West! I got the inner borders done yesterday and all I had to do was to cut and add the mitered border. Those always look so nice, but they are a little bit of a challenge, but worth the work. The only thing – it has been a while since I’ve done one and it took me a while, maybe I should do another one! Ha!

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,

I enjoy piecing quilts and getting to know people, as well as sharing the information I have on sewing. I love the sense of accomplishment once I'm finished.
