Sands of Time

It really seems like it could be “hands of time”. The hands on the clock sure go around too fast or the sands are falling through my hands. Either way, time is going by faster and faster.

Today is a special day, Ms. Kynlee turns one – it is hard to believe that our youngest grandchild is one. It kind of makes me sad, I love it when they are babies, you can love them and watch them sleep and I really become mesmerized just doing that. I do enjoy watching them grow; the first year just goes by so fast. God is truly amazing how he can take something that just sleeps and eat into someone with a big smile, laughs and has a personality in just 12 months, not to mention how they warm your heart. Happy first birthday, Kynlee Rhyan!

After work today I drove home and then David and I drove over to see the progress on the house. Wow, we had several surprises!

I went directly to the kitchen and there were a couple of cabinets on the wall and some on the floor. Wahoo!

Just around the corner, John and the tile guy was having a conversation regarding the plan for installing the tile around the two tubs upstairs. Hopefully, it will find a new home on Friday. We have had trouble with Dal-Tile, the tile should have been here over a week ago but the order didn’t make it on the truck. So we waited for the tile to arrive on Friday. The tile arrived but somehow the company didn’t order enough. So we wait again! They did install the backer board around the two showers – looking good!

The trim guys showed up and finished trimming out the entry and the windows around the fireplace. That sure looks good too!

Meanwhile Grant is steadily working on the craft room porch area. He got it all framed up today and now he is ready for the roofing.

After looking over the house we drove over to Gringo’s for a last minute birthday celebration with Kylee – her big party will be Sunday, but a girl has to celebrate and eat! We had a nice mini family dinner.
