Noticing a Trend

Wednesday was an errand day and I didn’t do very much at the house, but David did a little more demo in the upstairs bathroom and started taking down the wall to enlarge the bedroom.

We have now taken down the lower ceiling on the back porch as the electricians return Saturday to finish in there and to add boxes on the front porch for two ceiling fans.

We had a couple of guys come to the house to give us quote on refinishing the floors. One of the guys today told me that we have antique pine, which is a good thing and they both seem to think that it will all clean up very nicely. That is pretty exciting.

It seems like while we go to do demo in one room, it ends up leading into something else, which ends up turning into a bigger project than we initially expected.

In order to make the back upstairs bedroom larger the ceiling needs to be braced in the roof and in the downstairs bedroom as well. Which means more sheetrock needs to come down in the master. We also lost a window in the master today – another repair.

David took out all of the sheetrock in the upstairs back bedroom, so it is done again!
He also took out all of the sheetrock in the kitchen where the stove was. We aren’t sure exactly what all this is going to add to our “to do” list.

Notice the wood being put in at an angle – this is how they put wood on exterior walls.

Saturday morning I leave to go to Charlotte, NC for a week. I’ll be helping Cynthia England in her both at the AQS show. It will be exciting but it is with mixed emotions that I will be missing out on things here. I agreed to help her back in January, who knew what I’d be doing now.

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,
Ronda
