Are You A Designer?

I got up a little earlier than I normally do this morning just to make sure I was able to accomplish what I wanted to today. I guess by now, you may have figured that out about me – I like “done”!

In our friendship bee this was just a block and no pattern or setting instructions were given, so all of this is being done “by my design”.

I got two rows of blocks and two rows of sashing sewn together this morning before work and I was able to get the rest of it sewn together this evening. Wahoo!

all of the rows are done, now border time

Now I’ve decided that the outside needs a background border too. Now I need to cut that. You know the accounting rule – what you do to one side, you have to do to the other! In case you didn’t know accounting is my background. I really enjoyed accounting – the intrigue of trying to figure out why things didn’t work and what was wrong to fix it. More jigsaw puzzle piecing of sorts!

One of the lectures that heard at a guild meeting was in regards to designing. She stated (I can’t remember who) we are “designers” to a degree. We take patterns and make them our own. This definitely falls in that category!

Hopefully, more progress tomorrow!

I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,
Ronda
