Monday morning was our appointment with the “time share” people, Vacation Internationale. David was completely in charge of this, so I just helped with navigating when I could. He didn’t have the correct address so we ended up being about 15 minutes late, which made us have to deal with one of the managers, William. He actually was pretty chipper greeting us, which I thought nice, but I wondered how could he always be excited to sell something that no one really wanted.
Now let me say that David discussed with me in the car, that we were both in agreement that we were NOT interested!
As we go into the room he asks our name and of course we told him. He kept saying David, David Stockton. We went on and then he finally asked David where he was from originally. David ended up telling him that he was raised in Hugo, Oklahoma and then the man went crazy. William asked if he knew of a Ricky Stockton? David says that was his brother. Oh my word, it was the strangest moment E V E R! David went to High School with this man, William! Normally we go places and I am the one who knows people everywhere, but not this time.
I’m thinking we might be the new owners of a vacation plan! We listen to William’s plan and he explains to David that he is going to hook him up! I’m seeing vacations in our future. Really it was a great plan and they made us a very, very good buy in. You may have guessed it; about 3.5 hours later we finally walked out being new owners of a vacation plan.
We drove over to Hard Rock Café, Las Vegas for a late lunch – I actually missed breakfast. I hate that when it happens.
We had originally planned to drive to St. George, Utah today, but after lunch we decided to drive to Boulder City, Nevada and visit Fiddlesticks. We didn’t have enough time to drive there and with the time change we thought we would be better off and less stressed out.
Off we go to Fiddlesticks. It was a very cute quilt store and I loved the town, they had several antique stores and we even had time to visit a couple before heading back to town.
I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads. Love and hugs,
Ronda
So when are we scheduling a quilt retreat at your new vacation home?
I think that is a great idea!!
