It does not seem like it has been twelve years ago. I watched some of the footage today and heard some new stories that I had not already heard. I still get choked up and teary eyed when I hear of the sacrifices different ones made and others of their “total” sacrifice. Freedom is hardly free and I’m a very proud American. Thank you seems so inadequate to all of the first responders and to all of our military and especially to my son, Brok and David’s nephew, Justin for their service.
Today Adley and I decided to go to Starbucks. I’ve been craving coffee since I’ve been here, so off we go. I have to say that putting a car seat in the car is one of the hardest things to do, then you have to get it out of the car, take it in and so forth. I ended up smashing my ring finger right off the bat. Ouch! I’m thinking we will just go through the drive through, which I don’t normally do, ever. After I finally found the Starbucks, guess what – no drive through! Ugh, well I have been described as stubborn, so we are there, so I was not going to go home since I was right there. I park and go in; at least I got to show off our sweet Adley. I got us in and coffee back to the car and I didn’t spill or drop anything. What a balancing act! ☺
We had a very nice day; she is such a sweet little girl. I love babies and I love to love on them.
I was able to get a few more stitches in on my block. It is coming along and I’m pleased with it. I need to get the other flowers stitched down and the centers and it will be finished.
After dinner, Kara and I met my sister, Pattie for a much needed pedicure. We had a good time.
I am truly blessed; I hope you are blessed by your daily threads, love and hugs.
